My answer would be:
1)As a model for my students, I will tell my students that smart or clever do not guarantee success; only persistence and determination can get you there. By working hard, I can prove what I believe in.
2) Eager to learn: As a teacher, the more I teach, the more I reckon I know little and the more I want to know more.
3) Job satisfaction. The more I do for the students, the more they can benefit from.
4) External factors: nice students, good parents support and understands, good team spirit and peer support, good leader, good pay, nice environment, good reward system etc...

Motivation has two faces- Internal & External. Internal forces should stumulate your brain to get redy for action. External motivation is a third person forcing you to do something, that he knows best. Confidence that has knowledge, courage, deipline are thr factors that can motivate you to work hard. What we think has a direct impact on what we do. This dicipline should become a part of your code of conduct and you wont look back. Good Luck.

When I read your title, I thought I'd have quite a bit to say, but if YOU were being interviewed on what motivates YOU to work as as a teacher.. I'd sure as heck hope you know then answer yourself. No offence but it's a cop-out if you need pointers from other people on what to say for your own interview.. Where's the passion and all that jazz?
