Yes, I would return the wallet, but I can't guarantee that ALL of the money will still be there. There has to be some kind of fee for losing your wallet. I mean, if nobody ever lost any money when they lost their wallet, then people would be losing wallets all over the place, and that wouldn't be good...

I'd return the wallet, not sure whether I would extract a fee or not. In my experience usually no good deed goes unpunished.

Without a doubt, I could not ever spend that, with a clear consience. What if it was all the money this person had, and their child needed food or medical care. what if they had waited all year on a tax refund? never could I spend one penny of it!

Yes, I would hope somebody would return something of mine, if I lost it, and they knew it belonged to me. Plus, it is just the right thing to do.

actually, I would. I am a firm believer when this type of incident happens and you fail to return it, karma will make you pay for it threefold.
