Yes I would be good working for a Customer Service Department, in fact that was part of my job before I retired. I do not have a problem dealing with customer complaints, I have heard it all and seen it all and could let things go over the top of my head. Although I was always polite and treated the customer like a human being, and tried to deal and solve their complaints. I have been called every name from A to Z because of the company I worked for, to me that was just the customer ranting and getting it off their chests, you have to be hard skinned to work in Customer Service! There were days when you thought 'why doesn't someone ring up and thank me for a change' but of course they are not likely to as it was a complaints department and that was the job. At the end of the day you can go home leave all the complaints to the next shift to deal with.

There will be no automated machines picking up your telephone call, there will be no automated messages instructing you to “press one for a specific language, press two for a specific department, or press three to go through a whole different set of automated instructions. Instead, you are going to have the ability to instantly contact a real customer service representative and agent from that specific company often times someone in a management level position. This means that you won’t have to deal with any of the usual “stalling” tactics that different companies put in as almost barriers of entry for people that are looking to communicate with their customer service representatives.

There are lots of places and industries where u can work as a customer service. For example the Telecom(vodafone, mobinil, Etisalat), Banking (NSGB, Citibank, CIB, Barclays), insurance(Alico, Allienz, NSGB life insurance), ect... If u r also interested in the Tele-sales/marketing fields, there are lots of call centers specialized in the outbound/inbound calls (xceed, C3, and Raya).
