Everyone has a survival instinct, so I think I would try to save my own life. The only reason I would give up the lifeboat, is if it were one of my family members, or someone close to me. Or maybe a child or pregnant lady. I really don't know. But, since I am afraid of the ocean, I will will never be on a sinking ship. That is a fear/phobia for me.

Only if the person I was with was family or someone I loved. I see no reason to sacrifice myself for someone who I don't know, and could possibly be a horrible person when he isn't sitting in a sinking boat.

Depends on the person. I have a family, so if it were my wife or son, I'd sacrifice my own life regardless of anything. Otherwise, if it's somebody else, it'd depend on who they were -- did they cause the boat to sink? If so, I'm saving myself --- because what are their chances of survival after the boat sinks?

There would be no question about it if the other person was a grandchild of mine or a parent of mine. I would definitely save any of them before myself no matter what the circumstances. That is without question--FOR SURE!
I also believe, I would save any child before myself, considering they have many years ahead of them yet to live and I don't think I could live comfortably with my own self if I knew I saved myself while letting a child drown.

depends on their age and sex. if its an a middle aged man, too bad for him but if its an old guy i save him. I would also save any women and children but you never really know until you r actually in the situation.

Depends on who the other person is. If she were my girlfriend, I'd be glad to do such a sacrifice. But I ain't gonna throw my life away for a total stranger.
