I would repeal our signatory to the so called human rights act -no more fat overpaid foreigners telling us what we can do. Negotiate an exit partial or otherwise from the EEC. Any asylum seeker or immigrant convicted of a serious crime would be expelled immediately (why pay to keep low lifes in jail?) There would be no dictate from any religion telling us what we must or musn't do, if people do not like that they have a choice. Social security must be addressed, the largest growth area seems to be longterm sick; therefore I propose more compulsory regular examinations and the obligation for claimants to attend reassessment training interviews. Teenagers who get pregnant and claim should not automatically think they have a meal ticket for sixteen years, they should have to attend further education lots of colleges have creches these days.Social housing should be given on merit not on the fact that someone can just have three kids and jump any queues Sale of council stock stopped

in no particular order...

1 - Remove UK from EU
2 - abolish regional assemblies
3 - place limits on immigration (implement a system similar to Australia) but NOT on asylum
4 - Those out of work, but able, must show evidence of job hunting in order to get full benefits
5 - scrap plans for new road charging
6 - scrap ID cards
7 - make English compulsory for immigrants
8 - raise the bar on education again. Make the pupils perform to the standards, not vice versa
9 - allow mild corporal punishment in schools to re establish discipline. Give TEACHERS the control, not the pupils
10 - remove VAT restrictions on renovations
11 - repeal the Hunting with Dogs Act
12 - Cap MPs wages
13 - Cap council tax rises
14 - Cap TV licence rises
15 - Train prisoners to bricklay so they can build more prisons - this will result in them having a usable skill when they get out.
16 - prison sentences to mean what they say. No early release for good behaviour, but possibility of sentence extensions for bad behaviour
17 - limit water supply to all those who do not pay their bills.
18 - invest in nuclear power stations and renewable sources in order to cut down our reliance of foreign energy imports.
19 - decrease number of managers in NHS
20 - increase number of medical staff in NHS

That'll do for starters I think

these items you mention are already in place, what planet are you from ?
if you were suddenly made prime minister then you would do a good job,as already you are able to quote and make comments and speculate on things that you obviously know nothing about. welcome to the real world.

Strong views indeed, but not every one is born with a silver spoon in there mouth. Freedom-Liberty-democracy should be taken into account, Hope you are not considering the job, it sounds to much of the same old spin we have crammed down our throats day in and day out. What you are suggesting is treating the symptoms rather than the cause, there is more to Politics than kicking the less fortunate in the teeth.

Very good but if I was the Prime Minister the first job would be to rid the Government of corrupt politicians. Currently that would leave the honest Labour MPs in the minority but at least they would be able to speak for their people. Blair,Brown and all their close Ministers should have their inflated 'expenses ' claims' investigated and where proved they should be prosecuted.

Simple really.
Listen to the people, as Members of Parliament are supposed to do.
Work out that which is important to the country.
Implement these important factors. For the good of the people & country.

If I've suddenly become PM, I'd wonder how I suddenly became British. Or perhaps Canadian :-)

Good luck with that, though!
