Yes it is possible, just depends on where you live. I live in a small town where good jobs are hard to come by so the housing around here is very easy to come by, and very hard to sell. I got my house for $10,000...and I've put about $10,000 into it and now it's been appraised about over $80,000.....The only problem is that I'll never get that much out of it because of the fact there are still lots and lots of houses around here way below that price.

It's possible, you just have to find the right community. The house will probably need some work, so be prepared for some manual labor. If you have $10,000, your best bet would be to put it down on something a little more expensive.

Homes in the 10k range will be located in small rural communities where job employment is scarce. You can't touch anything less than 50k in Austin, Texas. I have seen bare, wooden homes isolated on an empty, unlandscaped lot for 8k in places like Tulia, Texas.

might find a trailor for that price, though most of them go for much more than that. Here I am 25 miles outside atlanta and land alone is worth 20 grand an acre for big plots. Lots are 40 grand and up in a subdivision.

Yes, now is the time of foreclosures. Texas & California currently lead in foreclosures with Texas being the cheapest. Some around Austin seem to be in your price & less. Remember you get what you pay for. Land to build a home on, is plentiful for around $5,000.

I can't imagine that it is even close to possible. A quick internet search didn't find anything either.
