He asked me to contact people on the list he gave me (125 +) I did. He's rented a "hall" & we have to bring our own food, drink, entertainment, etc. errrrrrrgh! It's a 6-10 pm thing. He's thinking of bringing a radio...I think live entertainment is better..(he won't accept any money from me...I've tried)
I said I could get food, beer, wine, drinks, etc. --- he's "kind of" ok with this. (I work at a restaurant.....!!!!!!!!)
Any suggestions?

He's not really thinking of what would make her happy. He's thinking moreso of what he can afford. You're her bestfriend and you know what she wants. You need to communicate this to him, nicely. Let him know you want this to be the party of her dreams, not a simple get-together with friends. Bringing your own stuff to a party is tacky..what's the point. And a radio..that's crazy. This is not a backyard shin-dig. This should be something special for her to remember.

yeah, live entertainment...please tell him to leave the radio at home....
