how to cut and pass through mushroom like tree s in pokemon crystal?

i am playing pokemon crystal and i am on route 35 there is a mushroom like tree and there is no othere way to go than just to cut it.how can i do it

you should use a pokemon with cut to cut it if that doesn't work it means u cant cut them

I think that tree that's on route 35 is an withered tree that can be hacked down with a pokemon that learned CUT.

I thought the mushroom like tree is on route 36. I heard to get trough that one you need to first beat Whitney and aquire a squirtbottle from the flowershop at goldenrod.

I didn't play pokemon crystal myself so I don't know exactly.

After beating Whitney, go to the top right building in Goldenrod and you'll get a Squirtbottle. Use it in front of the tree and it will wake up. (Yes, it's a Pokémon) Beware this is the only of that species in the game.
