Cebu Pacific has another seat sale. Try to book on a Tuesday or Wednesday flight for Kalibo, since this is cheapest day of the week for departure.

Also try the other airlines that land in Caticlan (SeaAir and Asian Spirit).

Or by sea, there are passenger ships from Manila to Caticlan and back. Travel time usually takes about 14 hours. MBRS Shipping Lines has two boats plying the route. Other shipping companies, like WG&A Super Ferry and ****** Navigation, service the Manila - Dumaguit route, which is half an hour east of Kalibo. ****** Navigation to Caticlan is seasonal (March - May).

For your resort, I recommend this really nice place in near Boat Station 2--> Villa Paula Beach House. The owners are my friends =) and they provide cheap accomodation rates. And they have the best breakfast in the island.

Your meals will depend on the resto that go to, that would be around P100-200 per person per meal. I suggest that you buy your own drinking water from the store and then just transfer them to small bottles whenever you go out. You'll save a lot if you do this.

You can enjoy boat rides / island hopping less than P1000 per banca, for the whole day. I suggest that you look for people who wants to join the trip so that you can save.

If you need more help and in booking flight and resort, email my travel agent : liezl@gawab.com.

Try booking a stay at the Saigon Resort, or Marzon Resort. These are in the Boat Station 3 area so the beach is less crowded. Boracay has several websites, you can easily find the contact numbers of resorts there.

You must book your hotel before going there, as it's peak season and you don't want to be walking around the island with your luggage looking for a place to stay.

There is a ship davao-iloilo (16-18 hrs sea travel). Then take a van going to caticlan (3-4 hrs land travel) then a boat going to boracay island (20mins). thats the cheapest way. Can be via Cebu Pacific, as of today, the fare davao-kalibo is P8,500 per pax. I can recommend Camila beach resort. Or try Bohol, its cheaper and spectacular whitseand beach. pls check my profile for further assistance.

If you are concerned with the expenses why would you go to a tourist trap like Boracay? Everything will be overpriced and you will have just as good a time at another less popular location.

Check the website of Boracay. You can also go Panglao island & Bantayan Island. A bit secluded and not that congested unlike Boracay. (- -,)

We have been thinking to stay there for a month yet then it finally ends up staying for basically 3 days. We dont like it there. He stated that folk seem at him like a intercourse vacationer and of direction they thought that im a working female, lol - undesirable trip! They have been only taken aback that im no longer a working female coz im the guy who continually pay for our bill. yet besides, you may verify it out, human beings have diverse interpretation and popularity able, it is going to easily remember on what you like and interest :-) We stayed in Boracay for 2 months. There are some working females even nonetheless that is no longer that undesirable evaluate to Angeles bcoz maximum human beings flow there for the coastline, intercourse isn't in all risk a precedence. working females and vacationer females are blended interior the bar at night - only attempt to computer screen around.

just returned from bohol, philippines. lovely place. i've been to several cities/islands, all of which were nasty, dirty, polluted, horrible, traffic is total nightmare, etc. However, bohol was clean, little traffic, no pollution, and best beaches i've seen so far. tacloban, ormoc city, naval and manila are the other cities i've visited. they are HORRIBLE - trash, pollution, gross, rats, etc. People say philippines is a lovely place. Yes, from FAR away, and in some photos. But, close up, it is GROSS, pollution, and you'll be lucky if you dont get terribly sick from the food and/or water. Unless of course you're filipino and your level of tolerance is higher than the average american. Americans - beware of the pollution, corruption, scams, traffic, smoke, etc in philippines. Even the american restros like mcdonals has HORRIBLE american food. And then walk outside mcdonals, look in the ocean shore water and see crap floating, raw sewage, and the smell is enough to make you puke. Bohol wasn't bad, tho. About the only thing nice in this country is the girls, and even they aren't so great now that i've been here awhile. im thinking of traveling back over to japan, where it's clean, hot chicks, good food and no scams. the worst you will experience in philippines is the scams... everyone is out to rip you off, scam you out of your money, charge you 2 to 3 times more just because you're american/white. they assume we are stupid morons and when you catch one of these people doing something wrong and confront them, they play stupid - pretend they can't speak english, etc. Take my advice, unless you're going to bohol, dont waste your money in philippines. I now see why very few american companies refuse to do business here. Can you spell INCOMPETENCE? Technology is about 10 years behind. Scams. Corruption at EVERY level of government. And the food? OH MY GOD!!!! GROSSSSSSSSSSSSS
