It was Dennis Amiss from England, who made the 1st century ever in history of ODIs, against Australia. England won the match by 6 wickets. Amiss was finally out for 103 off 134 balls with 9 fours.
Note: It was also only the 2nd ODI match in the world.

Dannis Amiss of England has the honor of scoring the first ever one day hundered in the only second ODI of the One day international's history when he scored 103 against Australia way back in 1974. England won that match by six wickets.
