As of today, the theory of relativity is inconsistent with quantum theory. that is to say, the theory we use to explain events above the atomic level is inconsistent with the theory we use to explain events at a sub-atomic level.

Yes, there are such questions.

For one, the theory of relativity cannot not describe events on a sub atomic level. For that you need Quantum Mechanics.

These two theories need to co-exist for us to try to describe everything in the universe. At the moment people like Stephen Hawking is trying to work on one all encompassing theory that would describe everything with one theory and not with two.

Actually relativity deals with things that cannot be seen. Relativity predicts the existence of black holes which by definition cannot be seen.

But the first answer is correct. Relativity and even Newtonian mechanics cannot explain the behavior of matter and energy at the atomic level.

The theory of relativity can not answer questions about the things that can not be seen. According to religion, all things important can't be seen. If you want to base your beliefs only on things that you can touch and see then you = doubting Thomas. Blessed those who believe but do not see. Why? Because those who only believe after seeing are whiny babies. Scientists = whiny babies.
