If the package or container of Aleene's says that it is Acid Free, it is safe to use.

If not, stay away. Acid is what turns the paper and pictures yellow.

My advice, go to walmart and get what are called photosplits, they are 1cm square pieces of double-sided "tape," will hold anything but still makes it easy to remove without ruining your project if you've made a mistake. Definetly better than glue! A large roll of photosplits will cost you about $2.

Depends on what you are bonding but tacky glue can warp the paper. Have you tried the little self-adhesive mounting squares? They are archival safe and so much easier to use than glue. No chance of getting it on photos that way either. Other than that I use stick glue made for scrapbooking. I LOVE scrapbooking!! Don't you?

I usually use photo splits. They last a long time. However, last August a store had elmers school glue which is acid free on sale for 10 cents. I bought 20 packages of the 2 glue sticks. I still have many of them left over.

It is not archival safe. It is too wet and will damage the paper items you want to attach.Use the proper glue to preserve your pages.
