It is very important to show films that help in literature. Since students will be excited when they see a film. Showing a film really helps students improve their language because they get attracted to such thing.

As long as the film is related to the topic, then yes, it's a good way to teach literature. It can also be a springboard for discussions and papers. And it'll give your students a break from the same type of lectures/discussions you usually have in class.

WYes. When my students studied 'The Crucible,' we went through the entire play and performed it and learned many aspects of it. The perfect wrap-up was letting them watch what professional actors did with their parts. My students compared their characters with the actors in the film and found more insight into perspective, and they gained an entirely new understanding of the story. They aced the test, and they will look at plays in a whole new light from now on. In this case, the film was the perfect teaching instrument.

Sure, if the film is within the subject matter. For some it might be a help by letting them be more able to visualize.
