My friend and I are having a debate about downloading music. I am saying that it is illegal to download music if you haven't payed for it. Then, he says that it's not really illegal to download it for free because you're actually sharing it. He then went on to say that, "If you borrow a CD from a friend and listened to it, you still stole from the artist because you didn't pay to listen to it...the same goes if you download music from sites like Kazaa, Limewire, etc...you're borrowing it." How could I prove him wrong? Please Help!!

i am not downloading from limewire etc..but some artist website prefer you to hear to their song..so..just record it using audio recorder..lol..at least im not DOWNLOADing

Easy....no one paid for the songs you download off limewire, your friend paid money to buy that CD, so yes it's sharing but it's sharing something legally bought. Not the same as downloading.

i'm sorry dear but i think he is right coz those site are made for sharing, you havent stolen them you found them ready for you and you can also download free from the internet or from some artists websites so dont be so strict.
