Go buy slightly bigger shells. I had a hermit crab and I kept begging my mom to take me to the store to buy him a shell. Well, a week passed and he decided the shell was too small for him so he left it and died. Buy your hermit crab several different shells of different sizes to see which one it likes better. Once the hermit crab crawls out and finds no place to go, it dies.

that stage is very much essential for their growth. please don't touch your hermit crab and i suggest to put vacant shell on his pen preferably a bit bigger than what he had. i suggest if you do have already just put it inside the pen coz much exposure to air may kill your hermit crab. they need to transfer immediately once they left their shell.

Well, I hope you have some other spare shells in that tank to house herself. If not go buy some. They have to change shells every now and again to support their growth.

That's normal, she's out grown it, make sure she has a choice of some bigger ones to move into.

she has outgrown it. you should have several shells in her tank for her to choose from. she needs a new home. the shells, obviously, should be a size bigger than the one she just left.

Get her a few different bigger ones. She may have grown out of it! Or she may be sick. Mine came out of his shell right before he died.
;( Hopefully you can get him/ her a new shell. Go to a pet store they can help. :)
