I bought my computer used and I just tried validating windows and it won't accept my #.

That means that you the person you got it from either used a pirated copy of windows or "borrowed" one from a friend. Unfortunately there isn't much you can do but talk to them. If you have a Microsoft certificate of authenticity, call microsoft, if you don't, then you can either purchase a new windows, use it unvalidated (no updates). try to crack it (plenty of sites out there with serials, dlls, patches..) or do what I did :P switch to linux.

You do not have to use illegal software. There are many free, reliable and up to date operating systems available. Plus all of the programs are also FREE!!!

My favourite operating system is UBUNTU. It's easy to install and use.
