I think Gladiator was better shot. However, the ending of Braveheart wasnt as predictable as the Gladiator movie.

Braveheart without a doubt.ive watched it like a 100 times.never get bored.its really touching.Mel Gibson is a great actor.his face expressions r remarkable.really..even the soundtrack of the movie was perfect,it was best picture,it had romance..it had everything! Gladiator is good too..but Braveheart is the winner!

Braveheart. I like Gladiator, too...but it gets a little hokey, especially at the end when Commodus fights Maximus in the Coliseum. A roman emperor is going to actually fight a gladiator in the area? I don't think so.

For the record, I think Rob Roy is better than both of them.

Well, with the movie "Gladiator", all I could think of was how Russell Crowe looked in his armor.

In "Braveheart", I actually watched the movie and followed the storyline! I vote for this one because it was very romantic and also shed some light on that period in history. I loved the ending, when Mel Gibson sees in the crowd his deceased wife waiting for him to join her -- and he cries "freedom", seconds before they behead him.

You're correct, tho, in saying what great movies they both were.

Both great movies but, Gladiator is the best. Great actors, great director and the special features on the DVD are the best.

I like 'em both too, but I have to go with Braveheart in answer to your question.
