You need a doctor to prescribe antibiotics. For a UTI, there are specific antibiotics to help this particular ailment.

No. Antibiotics are designed to be specific to certain bacteria. Yes, they willl have some general effect if they are not for whatever bacteria you have, afterall the antibiotics are going through your blood stream. But, the bacteria that cause a UTI are different than the bacteria that cause athlete's foot, or the bacteria that cause food poisoning. You get my drift.

You should never use prescription medication that was not prescribed to you by your physician. (well, in an emergency maybe, but you need to be fairly certain that what you are taking is the proper thing for whatever your illness is.)

Bottom line, see your doc.

Also, cranberry juice is thought to be helpful in the prevention of UTI. But NOT the treatment.

Bacteria that cause urinary tract infections thrive on yeast and sugar. Therefore, elimination of these two and then reduction will eliminate infection. Drink loads of preferably filtered water. Just buy yourself a water filter jug from any major department store.

Don't take antiobiotics, they reduce the good intestinal flora thus producing more problems. You would have to have a prescription from a Doctor to get antiobiotics.

GOOD LUCK

One easy cure for this is to drink pure cranberry juice, but one time I had no money for any, so I ate half a can of cranberry sauce that I had leftover from christmas, and it was really gross cause I hate cranberries, but I was fine the next day. If this doesn't work, you may have to have antibiotics, but next time you feel it coming on, go get some ocean spray cranberry cocktail.

urinary tract infection is most common for ladies.for this problem you have to discuss the doctor and there won't be any antibiotics for this one, i think. you can drink lot of water. because if u drink lot of water then the germs Will come out during urination. next u have to wash your private parts cleanly and your toilet should be in a good condition. best to drink lot of water.
