If you felt like you have fulfilled what you needed to in life than yes you can die happy. I'm not religious at all. In fact I think religion sucks, but I do believe that when you have done what you've needed to do in this life time then it's your time to go. I also kinda believe in reincarnation. So, if you leave prematurely, you'll have a second chance to live happy and die happy.

I had a near death experience five years ago. When I went into the white light........my B/P was 30/zero.
I was thinking wow this is the day I die. Cool. I really didin't think I would die this young. Then I thought about my life and I thought wow this is great. I lost all human fear, insecurities, pain, ......I was in total contentment. I was happy. I was completely ok with it. Well, I didn't die. Now that I am out of the light I fear death, but I know that when it comes it won't be bad. and also for those that Iove that have died I know they went in peace.....in the peacefuness of the white light.

I'm not sure I'm not dead yet. Nevertheless I was told if you died during sex it was said you died happy. That's good for you but not for your partner, they just had sex with a dead body Seriously now I personally like to die happy or at least rest in peace pardon the pun. there's no way of telling that we can do that but we can a least try I personally remember a phrase told in a British Christmas musical called schrooged. That came from the ghost of Christmas present that he quoted " try to as much as you can for the little time you have because you won't be there anymore"

If your soul is happy when you die, then obviously you can die happy but if your soul is wandering around thinking & wondering what it could have done in this lifetime, then you won't die happy but the realization is that you've done everything you could have done but in a whole nother lifetime; it's just that this lifetime, your body isn't satisfied with what it hasn't done in this lifetime. If a person isn't happy with what they did this lifetime, it's not really up to them; God will choose if your soul comes back or not.

Don't know...never tried it !
But seriously, I think it's like what the others have said...namely live a fullfiling life and most importantly try to be happy no matter what because happiness is a state of mind.

if you have succeded in what u have wished to succed in then you have had a good life, but if your feelings are happy when you die, then you die happy
you can choose to be happy your whole life and look on the bright side (like me) and if you die you will always die happy
kisses xx
thanks for the question

I am reading 2 great books that attempt to answer that question.
"Too Soon to Say Goodbye" by Art Buchwald. "I don't know where I'm going. I don't know even know why I'm here". He died recently. He summed up his life's pupose is to make people laugh.
"Stumbling on Happiness" by Daniel Gilbert. "Think you know what makes you happy?" You have no idea. We are our own worst enemy.

yes enuf is never enuf for me too. but i think we can die happily when we told the person that we really love that we really love him/her... like a line in paris hilton's stars are blind excripts: "why shudnt we be with the one we really love?"
