It only seems that way. Due to our unique geological situation, i.e. earths rotation, etc, we experience a lot more tornadoes. This is true. Hurricanes , on the other hand, are experienced on many other parts of the earth. The biggest reason you may not hear much about these, is, because, in other parts of the world, they are known as typhoons.

To put it rather simply, hurricanes make landfall in the USA fairly frequently because of the warmth of the (surface of the) North Atlantic just to our ESE from June to November, as well as the Gulf of Mexico. That and the fact that we have a lot of coastline from New York to Miami to Texas, leaving a lot of coastline vulnerable. Warm sea surface temperatures and the latitudes from the Gulf eastward are perfect breeding grounds for 'canes.
The USA is the "world champion" for tornadoes because of, again, the Gulf of Mexico, and because of the Rocky Mountains and the large expanses of land stretching from the Gulf up through western Canada and Alaska. When low pressure develops east of the Rockies, warm moist air from over the Gulf is circulated northward as cold upper air overruns it from the north and northwest. This creates instability and wind shear favorable for the development of tornadic thunderstorms.
Plenty of other countries have to deal with 'canes, but nowhere else on earth is the topography as perfectly created for tornadoes as here.

One reason you think so much more wicked weather happens in the poor, picked on US is because tornadoes and hurricanes (typhoons) in other countries are very rarely reported by the US media because the American people just don't care to hear about it.

hahahaha, as special as you would like to think you are, everywhere has hurricanes called typhoons and tornadoes called tornandoes...... perhaps you should visit other non-previlaged countries that are devestated by floods and famine caused by these typhoons and whirling winds which pick up things.
