so yeah, my ipod won't turn on.. i press any buttons it wont do anything, the hold/lock button is off and when i stick it in the charger it goes to like half a battery then it's frozen again..what can i do?

Connect the iPod to your Computer.This should launch iTunes.
From there you will have to Re-format the iPod and take it back to Restore Factory Settings.
If this fails to Initialize it-you will need to return it to an Apple shop where they will be Happy to replace it for you!(I'm assuming you haven't dropped it!!)

I had the same thing happen to me. Try holding the Menu button for a few seconds, if not try holding the play button for a few secs. If all fails, take it to Best Buy, eventhough you probably did not buy it there, act like u did and lost the receipt. They will reset it for you. U won't lose ur data, so don't worry.

It's likely the directory got corrupted, you need to format it back, there are ipod specific recovery programs if you like to recover the files you may already have in them. I used Vaio data recovery software, it's a freeware, but just as good. I forgot the url but just email me if you can't find it on the net. I'll upload it on Rapidshare or something.

iPods have had some major issues with units breaking down. Look up online to see if it is model that have known problems or if they had recalled it or something. And check other mp3 players other than iPods as well if you're out to buy new one. iPod is certaintly cool, but they all play mp3s.

get a new on.........if u droped it then it just broken.........i dont think it oing 2 be fixed..........
