An unconditional relationship means there is nothing that can tear it apart. Neither cheating nor beating, or attempted murder. That's true unconditional love or friendship. The term is often overused / misused.

A person who is truly your friend is unconditional.....they know who you really are, they are loyal to you no matter what, they won't betray you or what you have shared with them to others, they will tell you the truth of what they really think, they will be there for you even if they don't agree with you thru good times and bad....and they know that you will do the same for them. They know your good points and your weak ones, but like you just the same.

They are pretty much like unconditional love...the relationship is just different than a spouse, or a relative, but they care about you the same way.

What would it look like, well it would look like as you said unconditional love.

A quote that I recived as part of an answer recently says it best I think 'Love is friendship set on fire'.

The only difference between friendship and love is the bounderies that we place on ourselves and others, for example most people wouldn't go to bed with a close friend just on a whim there would have to be something more.

Hope this helps.

unconditional love is divine. it is the perfect love. and human as we are, we can not give/receive the perfect love but we strive for it. we have notions that unconditional love/friendship is not bound by conditions or standards or parameters, so that is what we aim for. the the closest we can say about unconditional friendhip is "because i love you."

It wouldn't look like anything. But it would be there when you needed it. There is no such thing as unconditional love.

The best one I know is the first book of Corinthians Chapter 13., in the Bible. It's often used at weddings, but it just talks about love. See what you think. God bless you.

It would look like a handful of sand...........

Squeeze too hard and the sand runs between your fingers.
Hold it on your palm loosely and gently and it will stay with you.
