Money and happiness, I think, would be related in terms of the means to the end, in other words, we should view our money as something (i.e. the means) to pay legitimately to buy what we need in our daily life such as food, accommodation, clothing, medicine, etc. Therefore, our money and our happiness can be regarded as two relative enterprises; 'money' as the approved monetary paper/coins in a particular country and international counterparts, 'happiness' as the aftermath of mental relaxation or happy feeling with or without paying the money in question. One of the reasons is that many happy people can acquire happiness with less money or none. Again, the money and the happiness are not necessarily related.

The relationship between money and happiness is neither linear nor inverse.
In some ways, however, and to a large extent they are intertwined.
Money can alleviate physical suffering by providing means. And if this suffering causes mental pain, then money can also relieve you from that.
Money can keep things going, and it can also help promote brotherhood, personal relations.
But there comes a point where money seems to loose its importance and happenings become independent of money.
At this state you begin to realise that there is something else that becomes the cause of happiness. This cause lies within us and here money does not figure as an important element of life.

It is a contributing factor to happiness in the sense that it relieves you of the stress that comes with debt and it cures lack instantly.
However, the phrase money does not buy happiness is also true,
So, I'd say, money goes up with happiness until you hit the decent lifestyle mark then from there, it just varies most likely going down because problems with too much money come into play.

Money is the root of all evil. Money will never make you completely happy. People will end up doing whatever they can to make money and they don't care who they hurt. Look at big corporations. Money changes people. I read somewhere that rich people are biggest misers on the planet. They have no desire to help people all they care about is there selves. I know this is not true with everyone but for the most part money is evil.

Both Direct and indirect Relationship.
For Example: You are happy when you use computers.... Ask poor people do they know how to use computers.
Same way.....
Your Healthy food.
Your good clothes.
Your many things which u use daily.
From where does it comes from????? Of course money.
If any one thing from the above is not available then it effects you..... Isn't it????? So money is having a direct relation and an indirect relationship in your life.

Plenty. Money lowers stress. The best things in life maybe free,
but a lot depends on money! Or you can be sad in a nicer house!
It really does buy peace of mind. Gives you many more options.

Money eliminates ONE of the many variables in life that can lead to stress and/or unhappiness. So there is a partial relationship. Too much money can lead to other problems, as you may well suspect.
