Curious? No. Ironic? Heck, yeah!
I think the whole "swift boat" campaign against Kerry was one of the vilest examples of negative campaigning in history. "Oh sure, he was wounded serving our country, but let's put a SPIN on it!"
If that's the way people support troops, then the word "support" has some new and hitherto unknown meaning.

And Cheney got five deferments. The neocons as a group are what was once referred to as chickenhawks, that is,politicians who have never served in the military, but are more than willing to put the military in harms way.Unlike politicians who have served, they have no conception of what war is.It is an abstract concept for them. They just don't comprehend the human cost of conflict.
But they're not afraid to call into question the patriotism of men who do.

A question like that is to be expected from an uninformed person incapable of independent thought.
Those who serve in the U.S. and not in combat are by NO means any less important. If not for the troops stationed here, the troops overseas would not be able to do their job. Bush served honorably in the United States, and is a veteran, plain and simple.

I find it curious that Gore cut down a line of trees in the rain forest to create room for his podium during a "save the rain forests" speech.
John McCain is for troop buildup in Iraq and he not only served in Vietnam he was a POW for 5 years. Let that burst your liberal ego!

President George Bush of the United States of America is nothing but a drunken deserter that went AWOL. He orchestrated the terror attacks of 911 so he could use it as a pretext for military intervention in Iraq. Just like Hitler did. He is the biggest coward to ever hold office, and he even cheated to get this position. Click on the link...

Do you know anything about what you are saying? Gore was over there for a minimal time period as a DAMNED PHTOGRAPHER!!! What is heroic about that? And Kerry bought into what others were saying about Vietnam and was starving for positive attention when he got back, so he sold out his brothers in uniform with lies. You picked some real winners for your crappy agenda. Quit letting CNN and PMSNBC live your life for you. Do some reading and think for yourself.

No I don't.
Why do you think the Vietnamese didn't bomb Texas? It was cause George Bush heroicly served in the National Guard, defending the United States from the Vietnamese Air Force.
