if so why aren't more celebs, rich and famous out there do more?

if i am a super-duper billionaire, ill buy all the companies in the world that are manufacturing guns, landmines, bullets, etc and convert them all to cement factory so that i can build houses and hospitals for the poor.

If I were rich and famous I would help but I would help like Oprah does. I would not help so I could get media attention. I would help because I would want to help.

I suspect a lot of celebrities only help out occasionally for publicity. Which I think is very sad.

As far as celebs go, they are typically slaves to their inadequacies and addicitions and are too busy trying to keep themselves out of jail, to focus on anything altruistic.
Oh, and they're idiots to boot: what they wanna support, I don't want.

Donating money is one of the first things I would do. I like being charitable. But being poor means that I have to be frugal.

I think a lot of celebrity types don't get credit for all the charities they contribute to both physically AND financially! A lot of them give THOUSANDS-even MILLIONS to to good causes. Will and Jada for instance give millions of dollars away to charities EVERY YEAR.=)
