When are men going to realize that bigger is not better. I hope it was at least wrapped in a nice big ribbon.

There was a time in my marriage when I actually appreciated gifts like this. I remember getting 2 x 12 foot rough planking for fencing. I was thrilled.
Or the time I received several tons of gravel for our driveway.
I was being an appreciative wife and those gifts kept me in shape. Still didn't do any good. He found greener pastures anyways.

So girls, go for the good stuff. Nice vacations, bling bling (if that is your cup of tea, not mine) sexy nighties perhaps?
She might be more grateful that you realize.

Aluminum Siding....how thoughtful!

You do realize that is not a present but maintenance for your house. I don't care how much it costs, if you think it is an appropriate anniversary gift your living on some other planet.

Do yourself a favour...go to the local store and get yourself a $10 bouquet of flowers and the dollar store for an anniversary card. Thats really all it takes.

It must be your traditional 10th anniversary if you are giving her aluminum. I hope you have insulated yourself from the contractor. I shutter to think of what would happen to your relationship if a poor job is rendered.... Sit back enjoy a Coke Alcoa on the patio and hope for the best.

You have got to be kidding right ??? That's like buying your Pastor a Flask.... You may want to re-think that gift before you get bashed over the head with that huge package!

umm i think it needs some creativity. giving you wife a hunk of aluminum seems primitive in the anniversary world. maybe some tickets to a play or movie she likes-chick flicks rock!!!or a day in the spa..but if you stick with the aluminum...have a happy anniversary caveman

If I were your wife it would thrill me to death; well, homicide.

Second though, maybe it's not so bad. I bet that aluminum siding will make her feel like the belle of the trailer park.

Well, being a woman, unless the project is completed, you'll probably have an unhappy wife on your hands!

I bet you find it as a recycled gift or re-gift......YOU'LL be wrapped in the siding and given to another person for a gift!LOL

Oh, no way. Not unless she's like the do-it-yourself lady on DIY. Use the siding, but get her something else. If you need a quick fix, get thee to a TV, turn on one of the cable networks (QVC, Jewelry Television, HSN, Shop NBC or other) and use express shipping and value pay to get her a piece of bling.

I don;t think so,women like personal intimate gifts . You got a gift for the house and not for her. It is different if that is what she really wanted for her anniversary, then it is okay.

No. It's like getting her a gift certificate to Home Depot. It has about as much personal touch as a door knob.
