In a certain website (which I cannot recall) it was stated that the "Sea of Galilee" will dry out in approximately 50 years time. This site I recall also monitors the water level periodically. Is this factually correct.

Check out articles on the Jordan River, the Dead Sea and the Sea of Galilee. There is a NASA photo of the entire rift under the Jordan River entry at Wikipedia.

On Yahoo check out the Mekorot Water Company. Water information from research to forecasts issue here. Still, many articles I have seen on the Web are not all that current.

You might find something from the CIA site on Israel and others. Check national library sources and articles on water supply and demand for Jordan and Syria. Don't overlook stress in all rift areas. People in extreme conflict and stress produce more not fewer children.

The entire rift has been under stress for years. The Sea of Galilee was down 13 feet in the early 90s. There are changes taking place all the time with demand, pollution, technology and weather. Fifty years? All depends. I would like to know the source of the article you saw, but did not find it. Good hunting.

I didn't find the site you mentioned, but here's a news article mentioning lowest water levels in years owing to drought. http://www.planetark.org/dailynewsstory.cfm/newsid/12007
Also called Yam Kinneret,it is the primary source of water for Israel and its outward flow to the Jordan River is regulated by the government. The Degania dam was built in 1932 to control the water level. When the lake fills after good winter rains, the Sea of Galilee is about one meter higher than it was in the first century, based on the levels of ancient harbors.

Are you sure you aren't remembering an article on the Dead Sea? http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/05/18/AR2005051802400.html : "the sea will continue falling about three feet a year for the next 150 years or so, until the water becomes so supersaturated with salt that evaporation effectively stops. "

each and all of the newspapers in Israel say that throughout December it is going to wealthy the Black Line. I stay in Israel yet i are not getting my water from the sea of Galilee (In Hebrew - Ha'Kineret) yet from wells close to the Herodion. I choose next year we are going to have extra rain here!

Just put a watering hose in it and turn the water 'ON'- it should fill up nice and quick. You may need to leave it on overnight though- unless you're a very very patient person
