I just watched the episode but I am not sure why Jack had tha flash back. A good summary would be helpful.

We got to see more of an inner working of The Other's and how they function... especially with the 'sheriff' the trial... their code etc. We also learn that they have back yards and seem like a typical society where people live in one place and travel to work.

Some of the people kidnapped seem to be living very well and seem happy. Was nice seeing Cindy again, and we saw some of the kids. Interesting that the little girl asked about Anna Lucia...

All and all, the main focus was Jack's tattoos and I agree, it was rather pointless. It answered Kate's question about why a spinal surgeon would have tattoos. It also allowed for a plot to develop between Jack and Isabelle.

We also got to see that Jack was a little more adventureous than we once thought... spending a summer in Thailand, hooking up with the hottie with the 'gift' and so on.

I did like the line "That's what they say, but that's not what they mean" which still leaves part of that story open for later.

So last night, I think the best thing we learned was that they have trials, they believe in eye for an eye in cases of murder... they get marked when they screw up really bad... and Ben is still the man.

Pitchy totally said it all...

Liked the episode but asked a bunch of questions Lost style.

To tell us about where he got his tattoo and what it means. I thought that was pretty pointless. Did anyone really wonder all that much about Jack's tattoo?? I didn't. And maybe to tell us that he is a fornicator? He got beat up once?
