Are cell phones required or are cells in our bodies required? Cell phones aren't a necessity, they're comforting (i.e. don't miss a call, report situations to police, etc). I don't believe they do any damage to our bodies as people have said they do. If that was the case, there would be a recall on all cell phones as well as new requirements to make them safe for use. Cells in our bodies are required, they help to carry out everyday functions in our bodies.
