1) The total combinations of numbers possible is 16. Of these there are only 3 combinations which have a sum not greater than seven, these are 1+ 5, 1+6 and 2+5

So the propability sum of their nmbers is greater than 7 is 13/16

2) You did the course at 9mph in 1hr and 24 mins
Your friend is running the same course at 6 mph which is 6/9 = 2/3 times slower than you

So he will need (3/2) * 84 minutes to complete the course

This works out to 126 minutes which is 2 hours and 6 minutes

3)
The ticket money of the 10 students was responsible for the refunds for 30 students

so ticket money for each student = 90/10 = 9 dollars

Also beverage cost = 20 * 9 = 180 dollars

4) Since the two stars have to be in the team, you must find out how to choose 3 people from 10

This works out to 10C3 = 10*9*8/3! = 720/6 = 120

5) For this number to be divisible by 4 it should end in 24, no other combination works out

There are a total of 4*3*2 = 24 possible numbers

Assuming that 2 and 4 are the last two numbers, we have only 2 combinations such that the number is divisible by 4

1324 and 3124

So the propability that your number is divisible by 4 is 2/24 = 1/12

6) square of (Length of hypotenuse) = square of side1 + square of side2

sq of 41 = sq of 9 + sq of y

sq of y = sq of 41 - sq of 9

y = sqroot of ((41+9)(41-9))

y = sqroot of (50*38) = sqroot(2*25*2*19) = 10*sqroot(19)

Use this to find the area
