If he stays healthy, he has a good look at 300. He is only ten wins away. He plays on a team that is slated to contend and win games. He has a real good look at it. Once Glavine wins 300, baseball may never see another 300 winner ever again thanks to 5 man rotation.

He seems to have transitioned nicely into an above-40 pitcher. The main reason he was able to do so well last year was run support. The Mets' offense has only gotten better this year with Alou. If patterns are anything to follow (and they're not, this is just interesting) then Glavine's win totals have increased by two each year with the Mets.
2003: 9
2004: 11
2005: 13
2006: 15
2007: 17?...ok, that is a bit of a stretch, even if he is set as the #1 guy in the rotation. Most likely you can expect about 15 wins again.

right it fairly is the energetic win leaders under 3 hundred wins Tom Glavine 297 Randy Johnson 284 Mike Mussina 243 David Wells 234 Jaime Moyer 223 Curt Schilling 213 Kenny Rogers 209 Pedro Martinez 206 sounds like exterior of Glavine, there might no longer be yet another 3 hundred game winner for a on a similar time as. factor taken!

I hope he does and I think he will. He'll be carrying the staff for the first part of the year, so barring injury, he'll be the next 300-game winner.

He needs 10 wins so I'm saying yes, he will. The Mets however are in deep trouble and will finish a distant second to the Phillies in the NL East.

I hope so...and I think he will. And then he will hang 'em up after getting to 300. Pretty good for a hockey player, huh?

Barring injury I think he will. He has been one of the leagues best and most dependable lefties. I'm not what you would call a fan of his, but I think because of his longevity and dedication to the game, always remaining low key, he deserves it!!
