Bah, those scientists are probably left-handed and have ego issues.

I'm sorry, this isn't true. There is no statistical difference in intelligence between left and right-handed people. If you are interested in finding out about the science behind handedness (instead of rumors), I'd recommend reading some of the work of a pretty cool guy from the National Cancer Institute, Amar Klar.

And, dude, that long answer above is complete speculation. Real scientific writing on the internet can be identified because it always contains references and relies on data. That stuff looks like someone just thought it up.

When being left handed you really do think different than right handed people, it's taken me years to realize how great that difference really is. Not necessarily more intelligent, just more creative and able to find answers, with a more out of the box approach. Where right handed people depend more on deduction. The same fact's between the two can end up with much different conclusions.

There is SOME truth to the "handedness" of the brain. However, it mostly means most people fall in two general schools of though. Bascially people of different handedness think DIFFERENTLY. I dont believe that one type of thinker is more intelligent than another. Any differences you find in IQ testing may be due to bias. Also, the professions taken by left-handed persons are indicative of the way they think not how intelligent they are.

It is mainly in theory at the moment but it seems promising. One theory suggests that since both speaking and handiwork require fine motor skills, having one hemisphere of the brain do both would be more efficient than having it divided up

Also, in 2006, researchers at Lafayette College and Johns Hopkins University in a study found that left-handed men are 15% richer than right-handed men for those who attended college, and 26% richer if they graduated. The wage difference is still unexplainable and does not appear to apply to women.

Mostly because the right half of the brain used to control the left hand is used for other things. That would presume greater processing capacity at the very least.

This is a vicious rumour started by leftists to undermine the dominance of right-handed people.
It is not a coincidence that the word "sinister" comes from the Latin word for left side.
The sooner we eliminate this growing menace the better ;-)

Because they are able to right with their left hand, witch forces the brain to work harder. Their brain is able to take on more than most of the righties! However there is less of them and all the smartest people in the world are righties!

Your question is true, some scientists are left-handed.

I think that is quite an oversimplification, and very broad too. And I wonder where did you hear it.

If they do conclude this, it is empirically, ie they looked at a group of people, and the lefties were somewhat smarter. Whatever the reason may be is a separate issue.
