They both have good and bad points but the caste system in India stinks and I think it prevents it from becoming a truly civilised and just society.

hmmm well lets through out the window SOCIAL aspects - so byre bye caste system, equality and justice and areligious policy.

Culture .... define Indian culture.... define western culture.

Indian culture wopuld be a mix og hindu, islamic, chinese, indo-chinese, greek and some arab/african influence for good measure.

Western culture is a mix of Arab, Greek, Roman, African, Russian and hints of Celtic thrown in...

Better... define what a "perfect culture" would be so we can measure it objectivly...

The issue here is not which is better but which do we prefer for our personal lives.

They are rather similar in essence and really the only difference could be seen as being the expression of the culture in its social environment.... you cant really analyse culturewithout analysing society as well....
