Last summer I took a tumble in a small Indian town. I was the only woman on the street, let alone the only white woman in the area. I was with my man but EVERYONE in the shops came out to help me up and sit me down, get me water, all were so concerned. I was almost embarrassed when someone even brought me tea. I was not even shaken up!
I took a tumble here in Canada and not a single person even acted as if they saw me. Boy did I feel special.
So yes, I would extend a hand to you.

Ahh, I would help you. This just happened on Saturday night, our waitress slipped and fell down really hard on one of her knees. I felt bad when the guys at the table next to us started laughing at her.

I would help you up. Laughing? maybe. It would depend on why you fell. It would depend on if you were laughing, and if it was meant to be funny. My step-son has falling down to an art, and it is hilarious. But it is meant to be.
