I think half of the girls were worthy but they were better than the guys.
Antonella, Hallie, Nicole, Amy, Leslie, and Alaina have just got to go. The rest of them I am rooting for.
And also I am mad that people are all turning the whole thing into a racial thing. They are saying Paul only made it because he was Asian, but he can sing.

And then people were all talking about haow the judges favored non-whites tonight, which is untrue. Just because a lot the top singers tonight weren't white does not mean they were being favored because of it. But otherwise I would say that the season is probably the worst so far. it might get better though.

I am black. of the guys i thought blake was the best followed by Phil. Chris richards was fun but he needs work. Brandon was was my fav because he is an underdog backup singer and I can relate to him because he is black and my friend is his lookalike, not sure if his vocals are good enough.
Of the females Stephanie was not that good compared to the other 3 black women. I loved Nicole's power even though she needed to work on some of her vocals. Gina's voice is beautiful.. Melinda is my fav and i want to marry her because she is a sweet beautiful underdog that does not know her own strength. I did not like the song Jordin picked but she hit every note in the song. Lakisha is a powerhouse but she missed some notes (watch it again). I agree that the ladies you listed above should be voted off immediately. Not sure if lakisha can do that every week. She will have to also sing soft and clearly hit notes. Still love her though.

The only girls that impress me are Jordin, Melinda, and LaKisha (I just hope we've heard the last of that "I'm Telling You" song). Sabrina and Stephanie are good singers, but I don't feel a connection to them. I think Haley has a nice personality, but she took a powerful song and made it wimpy. Gina sounds like she's just yelling instead of singing. Antonella needs to go back to Jersey (and someone please give her some food). She's not a bad singer, she's just not that good. The same goes for the rest I didn't mention. Those are just my opinions.
I actually like all the guys this year, and while I think Paul has a very good voice, he's actually the one that brought up race after his audition. He said something about there not being many Asians in the competition, and the way he said it bothered me. If there aren't many Asians getting through, it's because there aren't many trying out, and/or the ones trying out can't sing well. That's all there is to it!

I agree with you about the girls, although I thought Hallie did better than Jordan, who did not do justice to Tracey Chapman.
As far as the racial thing goes, you just have to ignore it, because there are always going to be ******* out there who "think" like that.
I think Simon was dead on about Lakisha, and the only suspense this year will be the order in which the others get sent home lol.

Lakisha Jones was the best of all 24 contestants and she is the favorite for winning it all. She just blew everybody away as she sang last. It was worth waiting for. I do believe out of all 6 years this is the worst American Idol so far. No one seems to stand out or make me really want to root for them, except Lakisha. Hope it gets better real fast. As far as the racial thing I hadn't heard anything about that there always seems to be a good mix of people every year. The judges were really on with their critiques tonight, I pretty well agreed with what they all had to say.

Fact is, Lakisha, Sabrina and Melinda were by far the best...race doesn't enter into it.
I agree, this season has been a major letdown...but the women were much better than the men.

The girls just blew the guys out of the water. I didn't see anything racial. Don't make it about race, make it about talent. the women of color were better tonight. I'm black by the way. I LOVE the Asian guy and the bald headed guy.

The ones you picked do need to go! I can't remember names very well but numbers 1,6 and 12 were awesome. Oh and the little short black girl, too. I don't remember what her number or name was. I am white and I could care less what color, size sexuality or whatever they are. Actually I thought those particular girls were better than the girls in past episodes. I still miss Constantine though! (Notice I remembered HIS name!)

that is kinda true... i actually noticed that the best singers were not white tonight. but the ABSOLUTE best tonight, was lakisha. like simon said, the 23 people should go home and she should win american idol.

Fave gal = The last girl who sang... last name is Jones, can't remember her first name. But wow, she was born to work that stage.
And I think Paul Kim sings well also.

Hey. I definately think the girls were, on average, better than the guys. Simon can be a real stick in the mud though. It's like he's never heard of CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. I think he is pretty indulgent because he cuts people down so much and he thinks it o.k. He's not very professional, to me.
