Let's see. First, Hillary would probably lose the entire South
because morality means a lot there. She would also, in all likelihood, lose many of the Midwestern states because she does not understand or care about the needs of Midwesterners
(also, to a lesser degree, the morality issue comes into play). She would win in California, Oregon, Washington state, New York, all of New England, probably Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and, maybe, Illinois. The states not named could go either way. It's scary but she could win. The Republicans need to run someone that could distance himself/herself from George Bush since it seems too many fence-straddlers hate him. It will be interesting, to say the least.

I won't say yes, but I would say it is likely.
Hillary actually would be the easiest Democrat for the Republicans to beat. That is fact. She is one of the most polarizing figures in US politics today, and there are lots of people from her own party who do not like her and are hoping she does not make it through the primaries. Scary as it is, any Republican could run against her and could conceivably pull off the win.

I'm a republican- with a brain & i'm a woman- i despise hillary clinton. Anyone with "half a brain" knows she doesn't have one, and yes, if she does make it past the preliminaries, she will lose the race for the democrats- Well actually, the democrats will lose the election for the democrats- Oh and hillary's democratic competitor? Obama- what a joke of a guy- geeze i swear the terrorists are just waiting for the "stupid americans" they think we are to vote him into office just so they can strap a freaking home made explosive to him and blow up the white house. What a joke that either of the two are running.

It won't insure a win - there are a number of GOP presidential hopefuls who are just as distasteful as Hillary. It would give them an advantage, however. Clinton's biggest strength is name recognition, but she's done very little of substance in her time as a Senator. She's also easy to attack because she's tarred with all the negatives of the last Clinton presidency.

Yep. You're guaranteed of getting at least 45% of the vote that can't stand her. Get a candidate that can get another 10% (like a Guiliani) and the Democrats are toast.
Besides, the country needs a change from the same two families running the country since 1988.

No way! After eight years of a moronic Republican administration, I believe the electorate will try anything before subjecting themselves to the flagellation of Republican control for another four years. The only way for any Republican candidate to win now days is for them to completely dissociate themselves from Dubya, his policies, his platform, his election machinery, and most of all his legacy. The slightest whiff of any of these things will cause many, if not most, voters to run, not walk, to the other candidate's side.

I personally don't believe that she can get thru the primaries. She has been a hoorible example as a wife. She could not keep Billy at bay. He had more fun in office then any other president at least IN THE OFFICE and she stayed right beside him as if nothing happened. Then she got a real job and still has not left the loser. I don't think she has a chance. But if she wins I can't wait to see uncle Billy as the White House First LADY! She may have a chance but I certainly won't vote for her. Have a great week.

Probably. She is one of the most divisive people in politics today. If you're a politician, you want as few negative polls as possible. People can feel neutral, that's fine, but negatives are a sure sign of defeat. Hilary's negative polls usually hover around 40%, which is just incredibly high. She is well loved by many, but also hated by too many, and that can be used to a huge Republican advantage.

It's not that she would be the easiest to beat, but that when all the scandals that she and Bill have been involved in will expose her as a carpetbagging ideologue with zero qualifications to be President. She will still carry the liberal vote, but moderates will turn away from her like a leper.

It doesn't make any difference who the Democratic candidate is, they will be the President. George Bush has insured that.
