I have it too. It can be a train wreck of emotions. I suggest you get the right medication.
There was a time in my life last year where I felt little "mideum" (belief). I couldn't understand why, but I felt like Jesus wasn't real, and I didn't feel I loved God. That's why I prayed everyday for God to give me mideum and to believe again. One fateful day, I was coming out of the restroom, and something clicked in my mind, that I simply loved God.
It happens. And when you're bipolar, it feels like a rollercoaster. But, you should never lose your faith in God, or at least, faith that you'll recover it somehow.
Good luck and God bless.

I don't know if this makes sense or not but I'm thinking...if u really didn't believe in God, then it wouldn't bother u not to believe. You DO believe, thats why ur upset that u don't feel closer to Him. Second, how can u hate urself for a condition u have? Thats like saying "I hate myself for having cancer" Talk to ur Dr about changing ur meds. Talk to someone at a church or maybe call a help line.
Good luck!

I don't think its a matter of you believing in God although some people who are in your position believe that their faith in God is what keeps them together.
Did you ever believe in God? I have severe clinical depression and was hospitalized in the psychiatric ward for a bit for being suicidal. I hated myself too and every single aspect of my life even though in retrospect...my life isn't that bad. Its easy to just wish it was all over..mental illness is totally consuming and alot of people who aren't familiar with mental illness do not understand that.
I really do hope though that you are getting the proper treatment for your illness. Make sure that someone close to you is watching over you too....we don't always know when we're slipping and sometimes we need someone to point it out to us and help us get back on track. My parents are always aware of whats going on with me now and thats probably for the best. If I stop taking my meds I become seriously depressed and start thinking irrationally so its good that someone is there to be rational for me. I hope you have someone in your life like that. Also, if at anytime you don't feel like your treatment is doing all that it should...speak up. Tell your doctor that you still don't feel right. There are tons of prescription drugs out there and even more combinations of drugs that your doctor can try. Don't stop going to counselling. Its completely necessary!
Maybe once you get your illness under control you will start to feel God in your life again. If you were a believer at one time...you can be again....maybe you just need to believe that God wants you to conquer this one on your own because he believes you can. Maybe its like a parent who wants you to try to figure things out for yourself so that you can grow.
I don't know all the answers but I really hope that you will find out and that you will work to get better.
I hope you get your faith back...I have faith that you can control this illness!
Good Luck

Maybe you are trying to force yourself to hard, have you looked at other fates? Maybe you are looking in to the wrongs ones that dont fit you.
Also try talking to a father, your problem may be a deeper issue along with your bipolar.

Please read my words carefully:
If you see footmark in the sand, you'll say that someone passed from here...
If you see a piece of dog sh*t on the ground, you'll say that a dog passed from here...
So what about the enormous universe, the sky, stars, planets, earth and all the beauty in it, doesn't it lead to that someone made it?!!!
Some people say that everything is created by itself after the big-bang... I won't ask you about what caused the big-bang, but I'll ask you a simple question:
If you take all the letters of the alphabet, multiples of them, and you threw them randomly on the floor. Do you expect (by a chance of one in infinity) to get a poem like shakespear's??!!
Can't you see how organized our universe is, the planets, the eco-system on earth, look even in your own body... Can you control your heart-beat? Can you control your breath while you're sleeping? Who stopped your eye-lashes from growing after reaching a certain length? Who told the baby turtles to move towards the sea and not to the earth after they come out of their eggs? Who taught the bird how to make nests?
My friend, think with your heart and brain. If you're still lost, think about the following:
Do you know how to play safe?
Non-believer's case:
If there's no God and you do all what you want in life, then nothing will happen to you after life. But if there was God and you were mistaken, then you'll blame yourself FOREVER...
Believer's case:
If there's God and I followed His commands in life, then I'll be in Heaven after life FOREVER. But if there was no God and we're mistaken, then nothing bad will happen to us after life...
Now you know how to play-safe, in case you're not convinced?

You cant because Satan doesnt want you to. Pray and ask God let you know that He is here for you. I will pray for/with you too.
Just say this: Lord, please come into my heart. I want to know that you are real. Give me the faith to trust and believe in You.
