I find the romans much more exciting. The Punic Wars are classic! Generally speaking there is more information available on the Romans than on the Egyptians.

Well, Egyptian history has a lot more to do with spiritualism and the mysteries of life than the Romans, who dealt more with politics, warfare, invention...My pick goes to Rome. Who conquered who, anyway?

You can't study one without the other, because even in antiquity the Mediterranean was not a significant cultural barrier. There was significant interaction, and even co-evolution between these two civilizations. Thus, neither is better. Best study both together, to uncover further intricacies and influences.

Both are good. However, I would have to say Roman. Mainly because of politics. They were the basis for all political structure and society.

I am interested in both and can't compare them as you have not given me a basis for comparison.
