It will be fine... You can shut them off for years and they come back up exactly as they were....

Usually nothing happens. But I swear I have a demon-possessed computer. I rented a new computer a couple of months ago, so the computer I'm using now wasn't turned on for several weeks, and when I gave the new computer back, and went back to using this one, everything crashed. My anti-virus wouldn't work, and any time that I tried to open it, it gave me an error message. The guest account disappeared and hasn't been found. All kinds of crazy things happened. I finally had to reinstall all the programs I use. Good thing I bought myself a new computer today. I will finally be able to watch movies now, something this one used to do, but not now.

Nothing will happen to your comp if it stays turned off for 3-4 months.
And also it's not a living being who can get habitual of any process.
So don't worry. Enjoy ur trip. Happy and safe journey :)

That won't do anything. I've see older computers have RAM failure doing that, but that was a while ago, so I don't think you'll have to worry.
What I would worry about is email and other accounts. Many of them have a expiration date for how long they will go unactivated before they shut down. Check to see how long you accounts' expiration dates are, (if they have any).

You're wanting to keep it turned off, not on for 3 months right?
Nothing will happen to it either way, it's totally safe, if you keep it off, just unplug the power cable too, sometimes when there's a power outage or something then the comp can turn on and draw your power for no reason.
If you're keeping it on, just put it on standby or something and turn off the monitor, so that no images get permanently imprinted on it heh.
either way, those are extreme cases, you're pretty much safe to leave it as is for a few months.

Nothing will happen.
Keeping your computer turned off is perfectly safe. You'll only damage it by keeping it turned *on* for very long periods of time.

A spider is bridging the dry-joint on the MoBo. as quickly as you are able to scent the aroma of cooking arachnids then it's time to rapidly close it down, in any different case all your artwork would be lost.

lol as for your computer you have nothing to worry about, nothing at all will change about it, its just like going to sleep lol, like a hibernation period, but be sure to get virus updates and other updates when you turn it back on, that is very improtant :D lol other than that technology in that time will jump by leaps and bounds lol so just update everything when you turn it back on
