Heard on E tonight that someone will die, but won't be Meridith. Also heard that they are doing a spin off with Addison as main charactor.

Yeah, Addison is going to have her own show if the 2-hour pilot thing is successful. She won't die. She will just be moving on somewhere else. I think it's because Grey's Anatomy doesn't have any room for more characters, and can't kill anymore off..it's depressing! But, I don't think it's really a good idea. It will kill it. But, I DEFINITELY will still be watching Grey's Anatomy.
Personally, since Merideth isn't going to die (only a near death experience) I think it will be Ellis. I found a couple hints that led to that. Like:
Derek: Your mother... Look your mother was lucid and she said things and now she's-
Meredith: Gone. Everything's back to normal, it's not a big deal.
Derek: Yeah, except she's having heart surgery today. Hey, do you want me to talk to the chief? I know you have that triage thing today but he'll give you the day off...
Meredith: Stop. I do not need rescuing.
Derek: You would've drowned in the bathtub had I not been there.
When Merideth said it's no big deal, then it shows that she might eat her words later..like foreshadowing.
Ellis will most likely die in surgery. She already made her point by showing us that she is a great doctor, but what else does she have to do? Also, there is no possible way any other character can be killed off, each and every one of them have their own way of contributing as a huge part of the show. Theyre all starting something new with their lives...or whatever else. Especially how many of them have a huge fan-base, which is where a lot of the ratings come from.

I also heard about the possibility of a spin off for Addison. I don't think that it would kill the show, but it would definately change the great dynamic that they have going on. I don't think they would kill her off and then do a spin off, she would either go to one of the other Seattle hospitals or go back to New York where she can hope to have a more sane life (no ex hubby, no ex lover, no Alex as a distraction)
Still not sure what will take place tomorrow to make it a "devistating" show that will change tv history. What stinks is that whatever happens tomorrow, we will have to wait till who knows when to pick up the story line. TV listings show that March 1 episode will be a re-run :(

Ellis dies.
And it is unlikely Addison will get a spin off.
Ellis could get a spin off, Mark could get a spin off, George and Callie could get a spin off but Addison is needed for Alex and for Meredith. She is not ready for a spinoff.

Cool. Maybe its Addison. Thats why they're doing a spin off. Maybe about her before her death. That would be neat.

Personally I thik that it will be Grey's Mom. I can't wait to see it tomorrow night tho. I just started watching it this season and already I'm hooked!!

Someone always dies in any TV show like that. Look at all the deaths on desperate housewives, you have to know someone is bound to die sooner or later.
