I'll star a good question but won't answer it if someone's already given the right answer. I give thumbs up for good answers I see too. I spend more time just cruising through the Q&A's, I'm usually doing something else at the same time. I'm not trying to hide.

Perhaps they find the question interesting enough to star, but do not feel they have an answer at that time.

Sometimes they feel the same way as the asker. So basically they don't know the answer either...
