These cowardly acts which crown the Newspaper headlines, is the biggest shame in human and religious history. Yet, condone by number of nations to access what they want. Easy way to get things through/done through the blood of the innocents.

They have been brainwashed to believe that they will go directly to Heaven and receive 72 Virgins who will not be wearing Burkas or even Head Scarves. Apparently the Imans fail to tell them that one Muslim killing another Muslim assures an eternity in Hell.

Hey wizbangs, what if you were part of the 999,999? How much does it cost you? Was it worth it? I've taken several ethics courses and the one thing that is constant is the reward is never going to be the better than the cost to someone. So even in this hypothetical situation ( speaking strictly about the needs of the group vs. the needs of the majority) whenever you have a group larger and making decisions for a smaller group, it is the responsibility of the larger group to protect the rights of the smaller one. So under that rule of morality, no larger group would ever sacrifice even one individual no matter what the benefit would be for the larger group. Sorry if that was confusing. Now the only way to make the moral decision easier, was if the minority was too sacrifice himself willingly to benefit the majority. (something like a buddy falling on a grenade) The majority would never have the right to throw someone on the grenade.

It actually gets them exactly what they want.
1. They get to kill the lives on the innocent people they hate
2. They bring attention to their cause and beliefs
3. It makes people live in a constant state of fear
4. They do what in their minds is the right thing to do.
5. In their minds its a way to get them in heaven
It is a cowardly act, and it is a tragedy that people resort to terrorism but it does get them exactly what they want

During the Viet Nam war bodes monks kill them selves to protest the war, the American citizen felt compassion for them.
This wore down the American people, years later we left in disgrace.

Only a few people are remembered through history, they will be some of those people. I think they've accomplished a lot. Though that's not the way to be remembered.
