Sumerian antediluvian king lists:
W-B 62 and W-B 444, both part of the Weld-Blundell Collection of the Ashmolean Museum at Oxford University
but the ages listed are much, much greater.
Berossus (the babylonian priest from 3rd century BC) compiled a list which appears to be a modification of these earlier lists.
some try to explain the old ages in the bible by saying they are really months (either 12 months per year or 10 months per year), but this is problematic because you end up with instances of a man fathering a child before he is 3.

This is a bit off the point - but the atmosphere before and after The Flood seems to have been very different. That is why people in the Bible who lived before the Flood lived hundreds of years. Afterward their lifespans dropped to more like what we have now. Some people propose that is why some dinosaurs were so big - they may have also lived hundreds of years and just kept growing like most lizards today.

This question belongs in "Religion and Spirituality", under the heading "Society and Culture". This is Social SCIENCE!!! The human body has evolved in a way that gives it an upper limit of 200 years, and only a very small fraction of people live past 100 years, the oldest at present being around 122.

When has a human ever lived 600 or more years? I believe that lifespans have increased* since the Middle Ages, not decreased.

There is no evidence that any human has ever lived beyond 120 years of age, much less 600.
Longevity is a frequent topic of urban legend and myth.

Neanderthal Man. Facial bone structure continues to grow throughout our lives. The older we become the more prominent our brows, noses and jaws. This would explain these features on Neanderthal Man. Reptiles also continue to grow throughout their lives, so a really old lizard would resemble a dinosaur.

No human being has lived passed the age of 156, the all time record.
You may want to believe otherwise, but you'd only be fooling yourself

The years of age does not mean their "actual" age. Lots of people say that their age is a reflection on what their importance was, and how important that person was to the history of the faith.

There are none. Even some bible scholers think that such references means months instead of years.
