I'm guessing she has to take painkillers because of the enormous weight of the wigs and wiglets she has on her head. Totally understandable, I say.

I don't think she has a malfunction at all. Even if she was high, big deal. I think she looks great. Especially on tonights episode. I see no change at all in her.

Probably because she is...its the only way she can stay calm..look at previous seasons...she was always freeking out at the slightest pressure.

She is. Or at least Drunk. She said that she hasn't touched a drink in her life. I say to that "Paula, When it touches your lips it counts as touching. Just because one of your underaged idol contestants poured it down your throat doesn't mean you haven't touched the liquor."

She is on prescription drugs - they cause her to fidget in her chair and seem as if she is drunk. Check out the news stories on imdb.com
