It's called freedom of speech, you know the Constitution remember. Nicholas Cage stole it in that movie about mason's. It's an old piece of paper with writing on it that everyone else in the world wishes they had, but only Americans get to disrespect.

If they are legal residents, they have a right to say what they will, although to tell you the truth, I do not know of many within the borders of this country who are spouting hate at our government.

What you need to realize is that one day our government or leaders on a local, state or national level, may make a decree that you are personally very strongly against, and should this happen, it would be your right to express your concerns, different viewpoint, disgust, etc. as well.

You can not offer freedom of speech with too many limitations else it really not be freedom of speech. Are you suggesting we fight to protect freedom of speech yet not honor it within the confines of our own land? If America wishes to protect the right of the Iraqi people to (finally ) speak out against their leaders, would you not provide that same privilege to your fellow Americans?

I understand perfectly well what you are saying. Nobody likes to feel under attack, especially at home base. And I am in no way advocating the use of physical violence - I suspect you refer only to verbal and emotional reproach. But the way I see it - democracy is a mixed bag ... and with the glorious benefits also comes the right for folks with different viewpoints to "openly" disagree. :-)

Well hasn't happened to me nor have I seen anyone else experiencing this and I live in a suburb real close to a major city-I go to malls, movies, parks, drive on the highways and have encountered nary one Muslim shouting hate. The ones I have sen were busy shopping, driving and going about their daily business and when I'd encouinter one close enough to have our eyes meet I'd get a smile and frindliness. Where do you live?????This land, this America is also a land for all, a land of the free and we do not discriminate against those different but lead by example showing Christian love with the hope it'll be returned. Neither do we accept prejudice or resentment directed at us.
