I come to realize after some careful studying and research that this has been a war for many years. Since the time of Malcom X and The Nation of Islam. We as Americans have feared, diskiked, and even had the unknown of this religion.

Mostly do to our governmentsattempt to prove them to be communist, racist, dagerous, and above all anti-american.Which in many cases is so far from the truth. The average muslim believes in love, peace, family, brotherhood, and above all god. it's just that call their god by another name (Allah). Which means one god just the same as christians.

They have been lumped into the pot with those who would bomb, kill, and destroy anyway. it's just that these idiot's has decided to use their faith as their own rally cry. Because there is so much fear, mistrust, and misunderstanding by outsiders. That it would much easier be taken as the gospel.

We must make sure we don't become the very thing we say we're fighting against.

Both books are temporary. They only take us up to the last days. They do not take us into the "Here After". The Bible and Holy Qu'ran are tools to foster the Will of God in Man. Our "Religion" does not come from a book. Books are given to those who have lost their way and need to be guided back to the right path. So I would say Yes to good of the Bible and I would say Yes to the Holy Qu'ran. Both Books have a message that speaks to the condition facing Black people in America.

I don't care about either one any more than the other. Neither the bible nor the quran are any closer to the truth than the other, and this applies with every religious text in the world. God comes to us in different ways but in the end, it's all the same basic message. "I'm here. Be good to one another." Everything else is man-made.

I do agree with you that Islam promotes peace, family and brotherhood but it cannot be compared to christianity.

Our government was designed to free people from religious persecution and Islamics, in their own country, have no distinct line between church and state. Prophet Muhammad was the be all and end all of his country...he was a political diplomat as well as the prophet of Allah.

Everything in their country revolves around Allah and the Koran.

Here we are allowed to be individuals and make our own choices.

And yes, we have become the very same thing that we are fighting against...it's called the war on terror. I believe it to be a religious war that Bush has oh so carefully veiled with politics.

Just my two cents.

The vast majority of Muslims are decent people, who would have nothing to do with the terrorists who use Islam as an excuse to do anti-social acts. But the Qur'an, like the bible, has errors, so Muslims have no sounder theological grounding for their beliefs than do Christians.

We worship the same God and share the same religious history since the Quran is considered to be the third installment, so to speak, of God's word, after the Torah and the Bible. While I am Catholic, I have great respect for the Quran and for Islam, and its teachings do not differ greatly from biblical teachings. Where the Quran surpasses both the Torah and the Bible is in the fact that it has not changed even a word in its original language since the time it was written. That's pretty impressive.

Theologically, the Muslim "Allah" is *NOT* the same God as the Judeo-Christian YHWH. Think about it - if Muslims *really* thought this they would not murder Jews and Christians for being 'infidels' and all Muslim holy sites would be open to other 'people of the book.' The fact that Muslims will *KILL* non-Muslims who try to visit Mecca proves that they *know* their God is a different one and *DO NOT* share or respect any element of other faiths.

(Granted, discussing whether two different faiths worship the same God is like debating the natural history of leprechauns.)

Anyway, the fact that you would fall for, and repeat, this most vicious and blatant Muslim lie means you are either ignorant or actively assisting their deceit. And quite frankly I don't care which one it is, you're contributing to the imminent defeat and enslavement of western civilization. Thanks a lot.

I believe in the Bible. People need to learn that no matter what someone else beliefs are they are to be respected. I do not believe in many teachings of the Quran but my muslim friends that visit me wont be served a pork chop because I respect them as being and individual.

Im givin u a star for this interetsing question (!)

Quran and Bible, thats my answer. Both of them!

I strongly believe that there's one God and He has different names. We pray to one God. And He teaches us Love, Peace and Happiness, Respect etc. He doesn't promote violence. Unfortunately millions of ppl misinterpret the Bible and Quran. Hence wars, terrorism, crimes etc.

both religions have some major similarities and some major differences!
although every religion, be it hinduism, christianity, buddhism or islam, teaches brotherhood, fairness, honesty and love!

but some major differences do exist. islam believes in the oneness of God (Allah). God is only one and he doesnt have any blodd relations. whereas christianity refers jesus to be the son of God.

3 of the four Holy books have been altered by mankind, wheras, Quran is the only one that remains unchanged.

and yes the muslims have been labelled as terrorists because of the concept of Jihad they believe in. i would just like to make it clear that Jihad has been misinterpreted by the world. Jihad means to fight in the way of God. Not to kill innocent people and throw down the world trade centre! even the Last Prophet of the muslims forgave his enemies and ordered his army not to kill women, children, slaves, people without weapons and people who stayed in their houses when he set out to conquer. Islam is probably the only religion in the world that teaches the maximum love and fairness !! its just being misinterpreted by extremists.

The main core and teaching of all religions in this world basically are the same, to have the pure love in your heart and true happiness inside your soul, in spite of everything.
