He not only gives money to many children charities but he also gives his time to them too. He truly cares about helping out kids from all over. For the two idiots who said needles and paying his trainer, this question is about McGuire who has done nothing wrong, not Bonds who's trainer is in and out of jail. Until he is pr oven guilty he isn't, so do some research rather than listening to the sports writers who have no proof. He was one of the best all around guys in BB, ever!

I used to really like this guy but know... FORGET IT!!! How can a guy like that possibly be generous?!! I don't care if he donates $50million a year!! Talk about selfish! Look what he has done to baseball fans everywhere!! Look at the kids he disappointed!! I hope I live to see the day when baseball finally wakes up and does away with all of the junkies and all of their g@#$%&*d records as well!!!! Please, enjoy the season and don't let any of the junkies ruin it for you!!

a few years after he left oakland to become a cardinal, he gave a considerable amount of money to some children's fund. the man is a class act. too bad everyone is trying to bring him down.
