I'm so sorry I wasn't paying attention to the spelling its' actually menstrual cycle

As a guy, I would not know. However several guesses would be a loincloth type of material. They would eat different herbs or plants which would make "it" smoother.

The correct spelling is 'menstrual.' You can call it the 'menstrual cycle.' Be careful, a 'minstrel' was a singer/story-teller in the old days. No, a 'minstral' is another word for a black man.

What did women BEFORE the 18th century do when they were on their menses?
Possibly... nothing!

a minstral is someone who used to walk from village to village singing.

menstrual cycle or period...
they used rags they would wash...thats where the term, 'on the rag' came from..

probably what everyother women does 2day (except they didnt have the stuff that women use today for periods and things like that)

I don't know - never really even thought about it.
I do know when my mother (92) talks about her mother (being on her period) she used rags.

ok, I asked my gandma this. she was born in 1903, and the answer is pretty gross but....
they used white folded cloth which they safety-pinned to their blumers. These cloths were laundered and reused....ewe
