Went to doctor for bladder infection...with in 3 minutes the guy has me bawling making me realize that I'm really stressed. Can't get rid of most of the stress... so how do I get the tension out of my neck? A good laugh works for a little while ...so any kind of answer would work! ;-)

I studied, stress management in college. And you are actually explaining the two major symptoms derived from stress, one is a strengthened neck, and the other is a headache. Out of the 19 different methods we studied, it seemed that the tension exersize worked best. Go in a room, put on some relaxing music, with the lights off, then slowly tighten a part of your body (abdominal, hand, leg, etc) as hard as you can for 10 secs, then do it at 50% then 25% then 5%, do this for at least 10 mins, and dont rush it. After all is over you should feel very relaxed, and unstressed, taking away your symptoms. Hope I was of some help.

I have someone give me a quick minute massage, then I apply a cream for muscle pain, next I heat up a towel in the microwave and put it in a roll around my neck. If I am really sore, I duct tape it in place and wear it for a couple of hours to get the stress off of my neck. There is a new acupressure equipment for about $40 that fits over your head and neck. I did a demo and I think it is worth the money. Also saw it in some catalogs I got from the Internet. Best of luck to you!!

If you think you're getting migrane headaches, try applying pressure to your head. Wrap a cool, moist towel tightly around your head, or something like that. Massaging the side of your head for 10 -15 minutes can also help a lot.

What I do is put a cold face towel on my neck, works every time. You could also get someone to massage the back of your neck or do it yourself.
