I expect both to be good. Spiderman 2 was one of the rare sequels that was better than the first and I don't see any reason why 3 should be any different. If I have one worry it's that they are trying to do too much in the one movie. But we'll see.
Harry Potter 4 was the best yet of the franchise, but I think Order of the Phoenix was the weakest book. On the other hand, Phoenix is a good story and trimming the fat from the story could make it much better than the book. I'm not really sure about David Yates as the director because I haven't seen anything he's done.
These are two films I have high expectations for and I will be greatly disappointed if they don't deliver.

Spiderman 3 *wink* Actually, it depends on your taste, but definately Spiderman 3 (in which, it has been confirmed that Venom IS one of the villians) - will have better Special Effects, better Plot, they've kept the same cast and director for all 3 (sometimes it helps).
People have been hanging around for Spidy (no pun intended) for a long time now, and I do believe the guys at Sony will deliever. Harry Potter 5 should be alright, but the book wasn't that great and I think at this point in time, the Harry Potter Hype has died down alot.
Don't forget that Pirates of the Carribean 3 is also coming out this year (should be good, although to secure a better plot, maybe they should have taken a longer time between films)...and Shrek 3 (don't think will be good) and Shark Boy and Lava Girl 2 (I'm apathetic towards)

Well that depends if u are a 20 year old book geek then harry potter is better but if u want a real movie then go watch spiderman 3

Spiderman 3... all the Harry Potter movies suck... I'd rather read the books... but 300, Spiderman 3, and Grindhouse will be the best films this year...

Harry Potter is great but it doesn't seem to translate to the big screen very well --- go for spiderman 3, it's a sure bet

I think they will both have their fans. I'm waiting for Spiderman and my daughter loves all things Potter.

ohhh,both are good and each have their own unique qualities.damn thats hard.their both action packed,but i guess harry potter has more plot twists than spider man,soooo i guess harry potter =[
